President: Joanna Munro
I have been involved with the club on and off since I was 14 (more off than on of late) and first a triathlete. Since then I moved to the dark side and became a cyclist (road and track) before seeing the light and returning to the fold. A passionate trail runner and mountain biker as well I can often be found in the bush training, exploring or socialising. Outside of triathlons I am into travelling and photography and I work at Chelsea Sugar in Birkenhead as a Category Analyst.
Currently injured I have found out the hard way that trees are hard!

Membership - Natalie Gear
After sitting on a cricket club committee for 10+ years, my husband Shaun co-opted me onto the WTMC committee for the 2009/10 season; I’ve been creating membership packs ever since. I decided I should give triathlon a whirl after watching Shaun compete in several events, and completed a 3:9:3 in Wanaka in 2009. That was it for me and triathlons, but I have enjoyed competing in a number of duathlons since then. After rupturing my achilles in July 2010 I am looking forward to competing again in early 2012 especially with Shaun and our 4 year old son, Tyler cheering me on. I love being a part of WTMC and have met some wonderful people especially at the café after Saturday morning club swims.

Secretary - Judy Gray
Hi, I’m Judy Gray, currently Secretary of the Club. I am married with two sons and one grandson. I have been a member of the Waitakere Tri Club for about 6 years now. My first triathlon was a Special K womens only event about 8 years ago which I got into through Contours Gym, Henderson. I was introduced to the club through the Wednesday Night Fun Run after seeing the signs around Henderson. I have competed in a variety of events since then, not necessarily triathlon. For me personally I enjoy the social aspects of belonging to a Club with like-minded people and enjoy participating in club training activities with particular emphasis on the coffee at the finish.

"I want the club to grow and for people to gain the skills necessary to compete in any event . It's a great way to meet people who have similar passions. WTMC is also very social".
